多协议工业以太网方案展示了一套工业网络系统。包含基于RZ/N1的一个主站设备和两个网关，以及分别基于TPS-1,R-IN32, RZ/N1,RX72M的从站设备。主站设备和两个网关通过Ethernet/IP连接。两个网关和各个从站设备通过PROFINET或者EtherCAT连接。网关可以作Ethernet/IP和PROFINET，或者Ethernet/IP和EtherCAT的协议转换。RZ/N1能通过单个处理器芯片实现多种工业以太网系统。该方案主要应用于主站设备，如 PLC, 传感集线器, 网关；以及从站设备，如通信模块，远程I/O, 电机控制。
